About Westover Hills
Westover Hills is the ideal neighborhood for young families looking for a quiet and safe area. Homes were originally built in the mid-1960s to late 1970s and feature many of the original architectural traits like large windows and interior stonework. Most of the homes in this area are ranch-style or mid-century modern homes and many properties have undergone major renovations with the addition of granite counter tops and modern amenities. On average, homes are between 2,300 and 3,000 square feet and, although remodeled homes are sold at a premium, others are priced competitively, especially given their proximity to downtown Austin.
Predominantly made up of families, Westover Hills is safe and, often, you will find children playing outside and in the streets. The homes have great curb appeal and it is a very friendly community. Families live here for a long time, and this area sees a lower turnover than other parts of the city.
Among the things to do here, Westover Hills Club is a big attraction. This members-only club features many amenities including tennis courts, sports camps, Olympic-sized swimming pool, a baby pool, and fitness center. Additionally, the club offers fitness classes.
Westover Hills is also very convenient for dining and entertainment in Northwest Austin. Just moments away, The Arboretum, an outdoor shopping mall, features many stores and restaurants for shopping and dining options.
The schools in this neighborhood are well-rated with students attending Hill Elementary School, Murchison Middle School and Anderson High School.
